Year 6 Place value of decimals

This week year 6 have been continuing their understanding of place value. Today they were comparing and ordering decimal numbers with the help of practical resources.  They really got to grips with what tenths, hundredths and thousandths were. Well done!

Can you order the following numbers?

1.234, 1.20, 1.243, 0.234, 1.2300

  1. It was quite hard by just looking at it! But if you add the zeros it will be WAY more easier

  2. I have a challenge:
0.01y=0.792 what is the value of y?
