As part of the Global Maths Project and in celebration of Global Maths Week, Year 3 explored fractals and where they appear in nature and in mathematics. We created our own versions of Sierpinski’s triangular fractal pattern, calculating the fraction of the pattern shaded at each point. We then created a 3D version of this fractal, challenging ourselves to build the tallest towers we could.
