A Spook-tacular Week in Reception

There have been some spook-tacular goings on in the Reception classes this week… The children have fully embraced the Halloween ‘spirit’ and have enjoyed taking part in lots of fun activities. We used out fine-motor skills to make spiders out of Playdough and rescue creepy-critters from slime. After reading the story, ‘Funny Bones’, the children made skeletons using paper straws. On Wednesday, both classes worked as a team to make some pumpkin soup and tried it together at the end of the day. This encouraged lots of lovely talk from the children to explain how they made the soup and to describe the taste.
