This term we continue to explore our whole school theme ‘Time to Talk; Time to Change’. The children will plan and curate the annual Torriano STEAM exhibition (March 23rd), where they will share their learning in Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Mathematics. This year, we will be exploring the idea of ‘World Articulation’ and the science of communication. More info.
Torriano is part of the Camden Oracy Hub which offers schools the opportunity to join the Camden Oracy Leaders programme working in partnership with Voice 21, the Unicorn Theatre and Cambridge University. The year-long programme combines deep pedagogical knowledge with planning tools, action research groups, peer critique and resources to support the practical application of oracy in class. Through our whole school theme: ‘A Time to Talk; A Time to Change’ we continue to learn about the 17 Global Goals which aim to end extreme poverty, fight inequalities and fix climate change. Our aim is for our children to develop learner competencies set out in our new values framework.
A warm welcome from the Torriano 2017-2018 team, on the Earth Kingdom in the Key Stage 2 playground. More information regarding staff members will be available on the school website soon. Year group information can be found in the ‘Meet the Teacher’ in the info section of the website.
