Message from the Headteacher

There is a vibrancy at Torriano Primary School which has an impact on all who visit us. The school’s distinct atmosphere is a result of the combination of high aspirations, innovation and our commitment to the rights of the child. We are passionate about children’s learning and relish the challenge of guiding our children through life. Torriano Primary School is a popular, culturally diverse school in Kentish Town with 451 learners on roll. The culture of our school ensures that every child is known well and valued. We are a happy, ambitious and inclusive school reflecting the rich diversity of families in our area.

The school works in close partnerships with parents and the community within and beyond the classroom. With the support of our Governing Body we work hard to meet the needs of individual children and secure high standards. There is a safe and stimulating environment for learning, playing and growing.

Torriano is a rights respecting community which promotes active, global citizenship. We have an energetic and enthusiastic pupil voice which champions the rights of learners and strives to provide a better learning climate in the school.

We place a strong emphasis on the performing and visual arts, by offering an enriched curriculum where the children’s heritage is valued and celebrated. We work collaboratively with many local and national partners.

At Torriano we are happy, have mutual respect and work hard. We are very proud of our children and the people who help them learn and look forward to meeting and nurturing your child through the next phase of his or her life.
